Dr hab. Urszula Markowska-Manista has been awarded the Janusz Korczak Prize in the Special Award category for publications related to the legacy and thought of Janusz Korczak.
The aim of the Prize is to promote Janusz Korczak’s ideas and to support transformative change in education by recognizing institutions and individuals who are guided by Korczakian values and put them into practice. The award honors those who create innovative and courageous educational solutions, consistently uphold children’s agency and rights, ensure the protection of those rights, support children and families in difficult situations, and foster environments conducive to a happy childhood.
The official award ceremony took place on 22 May 2025 at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw.
